He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Thornton and France Raines Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Jane Lancaster Thornton; his children, Bobby Thornton (Sherry) of Greer, Angie Eubanks (Tommy) of Inman, Mitchell Henderson (Laurie) of Taylors and Joey Henderson (Lori) of Greer; and his siblings, Mark Thornton (Trish) of Simpsonville and Wanda Rainey (Kenneth) of Travelers Rest. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
