He was predeceased by: his parent Fred Hammett. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Hammett; his parent Jeanette Hammett (Reynolds); his daughters, Rita Amyotte of Lexington, NC and Gail Tallent of Campobello, SC; and his siblings, Martha McMakin of Lyman, Shelby Harris of Columbus, NC, Loren Hammett of Lyman, Sam Hammett of Lyman and Marshall Hammett of Lyman.

The family will receive flowers or you may make a donation to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice House, 686 Jeff Davis Dr., Spartanburg, SC 29303.
