It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frankie Defoy Phillips (Lyman, South Carolina), born in Inman, South Carolina, who passed away on February 22, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Alexander Phillips and Jessie Moore Phillips; and his siblings, Helen Phillips Shands, Rachel Phillips Edwards, Jack Phillips and G. B. Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Alverson Phillips of Lyman; and his children, Rev. Al Phillips (Rose), Patti Dempsey (Rod), Sandy Phillips and Tim Phillips (Julia). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
