It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doris Cole McMakin of Lyman, South Carolina, born in Laurens, South Carolina, who passed away on October 30, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ryan Tillman Cole and Mary Tuck Cole; and her pet Sissy. She is survived by: her sons, John McMakin, Jr. (Julie) of Lyman and Rev. Joel McMakin (Missi) of Indian Land; her grandchildren, Jack McMakin of Clemson, Meri Cole McMakin of Lyman, Layne, Wesley and Max McMakin of Indian Land; her husband John McMakin, Sr.; her pets, Reese, Oliver, Finley and Hobbs; her sister Vicki Toney (Jimmy) of Spartanburg; and also Mitch Kyllonen. She is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
