He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Simmons and Annie Etheridge Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Dena Gray Simmons; his children, Ethan, Kelly Simmons, Becci and Brett Johnson; his grandchildren, Ayden, Stella and Olivia; his siblings, Judy, David and Gary; and his siblings-in-law, Danny and Donna.
