He was predeceased by: his father David Charles Sykes; his siblings, Jeffrey Sykes and Davene Burke; and his stepfather John Reid Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Eddie Jean Reid; his significant other Kristyn McGraw; his brothers, John Reid Jr. (Paula) and Ricky Monroe (Andrea); his niece Crystal Meyer; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Faith Burk, Gracie Deshields, James Meyer Jr., Caleb Reid and Jeffrey Sykes Jr..
