He was predeceased by : his parents, Wade Lawrence and Ila Mae Stroud Cassidy; his children, Freddie Cassidy and Wayne Broughton; and his siblings, Luke Cassidy, Davis Cassidy, Annie Sue Griggs, Nathan Wade Cassidy, Olin Cassidy and Freddie Cassidy.

He is survived by : his wife Annie Evelyn Cook Cassidy; and his children, Darrell Cassidy (Brenda) of Camden, Randy Cassidy (Debbie) of Bethune, Tammie Johnson of Camden, Robin McMullen (Michael) of Columbia, Don Broughton and Rev. Tim Broughton (Peggy) of Cassatt. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (832 Ridgeway Rd, Lugoff, SC 29078). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park (1659 Kershaw Hwy, Camden, SC 29020).
