He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Knight Fender; his parents, Benjamin Frank Fender and Thelma Grooms Fender; and his sister Ruby Faye Fender. He is survived by: his children, Donald R. Fender (Kathy) of Afton, VA and Kay F. Lott (Larry) of Lugoff; his granddaughters, Jill E. Collins (Duaine) of Charleston, Mary L. Catoe (Russell) of Lugoff, April L. McCaa (Chip) of Lugoff and Laura L. Paulo (David) of Lugoff; and his great grandchildren, Grayson Catoe (Jillian Wilkes), Makaylee Catoe, Nash Catoe, Orin Collins, Sullivan Paulo, Griffin Catoe and Charlie Paulo.
