She was predeceased by: her husband John Matthews; her parents, Raymond Hewell and Vivian Hewell; her grandson Logan Allen; and her close friend James Hudson.
She is survived by: her children, Medena Allen, Lamar Allen (Maryann) and Celeste Williamson (Corey); the father of her children Jack Allen; her stepchildren, Johnny Matthews and Angel Matthews; her brother Michael Hewell (Susan); her grandchildren, Brandon Ramos (Laurelle), Gabriella Wilson (Matthew), Taylor Hunter, Trinity Allen, Reagan Allen, Hannah Smith (Will), Corey Williamson, Martina Allen, Riley Williamson, Corbin Williamson and Landan Newsom; her close friend Peggy Leonard; and her pets, Jackson and Nicco.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (832 Ridgeway Rd, Lugoff, SC 29078). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agape Hospice.
