He is survived by: his wife Jackie Dowey; his children, Chris Dowey (Destiny) of Lugoff, Stephanie Dowey of Lugoff and Ted Dowey (Ashley) of Camden; his siblings, Delores Napper of Elgin, Frankie Dowey of Lugoff and Arnie Dowey of Elgin; his siblings-in-law, Vivian Dowey of Lugoff and Larue McGee of Lamar; his grandchildren, Peyton, Bryson, Paisley, Brantley, Henry, Brody and Etta Mae; and his pet River.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church.
