He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Anders Ellington; his children, Jennifer E. Kearney (Wayne) of Pinehurst, NC and Michael S. Ellington (Ashley) of West Point, GA; his sisters, June E. Daniel of Oxford, N. C. and Katherine E. Russell of Middlesex, N. C.; his grandchildren, Elaine K. Kowalewski (Mark), AllieAnna J. Ellington, Emily K. Kearney, Jonathan M. Ellington and Wyatt M. Ellington; his nieces and nephews, Dennis Daniel, Todd Daniel, Bert Russell, Sandra Yancy and Janine Andreasen; and his great-niece Denise Edmonds.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lugoff First Baptist Church or Gideons International.
