He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard J. Hasty and Winifred Keels Hasty; and his sister Alison Dirocco. He is survived by: his wife Penelope Baker (Catherine Hasty) of Burnsville, NC; his daughters, Sarah and Lauren Hasty of Asheville, NC; his granddaughter Francesca Pettinelli; and his siblings, John Hasty (Melinda) of Buchanan, VA, Ann Drummond, Becky Whisenhunt and Ellen Fohner (Joe). He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
