She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter H. Newman and Rubye E. Jennings Newman; and her brother Richard Newman. She is survived by: her husband William Ray Pierce; her children, Robert Pierce, Sr. (E'Lissa) of Elloree, Michael Pierce (Tanja) of Lugoff and Kristina Weems (Brian) of Elgin; and her sister Brenda G. Thompson (Kenneth). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvest Baptist Church.
