He was predeceased by: his father James Anderson; his grandchild Ja'Mari Johnson; and his siblings, Juliette Thomas, Leroy Anderson, Louise McKenney, Betty Wilson, Sylvia Anderson, James Anderson, Jr., Edna Mae Williams, Lucinda Jane Portee, Acie Portee, Jr., Leroy Portee and Mary Frances Fletcher.
He is survived by: his wife Marcella Ingram; his children, Latoyia Green of Columbia, Tiana Anderson of Albany, N. Y. and Jamar Anderson (Danielle) of Buffalo, N. Y.; his stepdaughter Crystal Simpkins of Camden; his grandchildren, Chiyan Green-White, Micah Anderson and Mason Ingram; and his siblings, Teddy William (Kathy), Paul Anderson (Beverly), Mary Griffin (Nathaniel) and Billy Portee (Shirley). He is also survived by aunts and uncles and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (832 Ridgeway Rd, Lugoff, SC 29078).
