We are sad to announce that on December 3, 2023, at the age of 83, Leona Ruth Payton of Lugoff, South Carolina, born in West Union, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Boyd Cunningham and Stella Cunningham; her boyfriend Ed Nyberg; her brother Glenn Cunningham; and her daughter Vicky Twiford.

She is survived by: her sons, Michael Payton (Anna), Roger Payton (Debbie) and David Payton (Melissa); and her sister Peggy McKinney. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
