He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Riley Lucas and Bertha Marie Busby Lucas; his sister Elizabeth Legrand; and his siblings-in-law, Charlie Legrand, Jimmy Bowers and Angie Lucas.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Elizabeth Byrd (Rick) of Blythewood and Larry Joe "Joey" Lucas, Jr. (Robin) of Lugoff; his grandchildren, Tyler Byrd, Maddox Byrd, Riley Lucas and Benjamin Lucas; and his siblings, Jim Lucas (Sylvia) of Chester, Robert Lucas (Charlene) of Ridgeway, Tommy Lucas of Ridgeway, Billy Lucas (Cynthia) of Winnsboro, Charles Lucas (Eva) of Yuma, AZ, Barbara Lucas of Columbia and Pauline Bowers of West Columbia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
