He was predeceased by: his parents, Broadus Robert Connell and Laura Elizabeth Marcus; and his siblings, Roddy Broadus Connell, Norman Gonzales Connell, Ivey Kibben Connell, Stephen William Connell, Douglas Marcus Connell and June Lucile Connell O'Rourke (Betty Joyce Connell Smith).
He is survived by: his wife Lois Isabelle "Izzy" Thompson; and his children, Bob Connell, LtCol (Lisa), Grace Connell (Kerry) of Joe Connell, JD, Foy Connell, MD and Lois Connell Moss (Rick). He is also survived by 34 grandchildren; and 64 great-grandchildren.
