He was predeceased by: his parents, Ossie Monroe and Lula Brown Hyman; and his sisters, Lois Cox, Margaret Parham and Geneva Gandy.
He is survived by: his wife Meredith Ann Poston "Merrie" Hyman; his children, Michael Monroe Hyman (Kim) of Ridgeway, Felder Todd Hyman of Lugoff and Martha Hyman Pullum; his brother James Earl Hyman (Francis) of Batesburg; and his grandchildren, Katelyn, Allison (Tripp), Emily, Kala and Ashley (Wesley).
