He was predeceased by: his mother Ann Foreman; his wife Arbie Lee Foreman; and his sisters, Shirley Hughes and Linda Smallwood. He is survived by: his children, Michael Odum Foreman (Michelle) of Ridgeway, James Ward Foreman II (Yukie) of Alexandria Va, Sheri Lea Freeman (Bobby) of Columbia and Cynthia Ann Botts (Dominic) of Austin, TX. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
