He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Cobb and Clara Durden Cobb; his wife Mary Ann Herrington; and his brother Johnny Cobb. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Cobb Sturgess (William "Rocky") of Lugoff and Anthony Yale Cobb (Carolyn) of Lugoff; his grandchildren, Andrew Turner, Kelly Marie Lyle (Patrick) and Cory Alexander Sturgess (Jennifer); his great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Mason, Delaney, Cory, Jr., Austin, Kyra and Grayson; and his siblings, Bill, Jerry Cobb and Vie Swindler.
