He is survived by: his sons, Timothy A. Ray (Amy) and Billy Nathan Ray, Sr. (Ashley); his grandchildren, Nathan Ray, Jr., Tyler Ray, Kaitlyn Ray, Hannah Ray, Ashby Tidwell, Gabriel Self and Benji Self; and his siblings, Claude Ray Jr. (Ernestine), Louise Chappell (Bill), Carolyn Morris (Tim), Sarah Branham (Pete) and Carol Baker (Roddy).
