He was predeceased by: his father James Richard Ross. He is survived by: his mother Geneva Edge Ross of Lugoff; his wife Tara Faith Stokes Ross; his sons, Nicholas Richard Ross and Noah Carter Ross; and his brothers, Glenn Richard Ross (Kimberly) and Gregg Randall Ross (Stacey).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or Tunnel To Towers.
