He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Woody "C. W." and Lucy Nell Bost Moon; and his siblings, Carolyn Heilig (Nolan) and Boyd Moon. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Louise Peake Moon; his son Gerald "John" Moon Jr. (Shannon) of Clover; his siblings, Teresa Poole (Doug), Charles Moon (Wilda), Herman Moon and Barry Moon (Debbie); his sister-in-law Peggy Moon; and his grandchildren, Taylor Moon Russell (Dylan), Kaitlyn Moon and Brianna Moon.
