She was predeceased by: her spouse Dores Gainey; her sons, Travis Gainey and Mark Gainey; her grandson Joe Gainey; and her siblings, Alvin Walden, Donald Walden and Macey Walden.
She is survived by: her children, Karen Gainey, Janet Hewitt (Byron), Jeff Gainey (Susan), Beverly Cassady (Tony) and Larry Jones; her brother Samuel Walden; and her friend Cathy Reger. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel Cares Preschool Program or the USC School of Nursing.
