She is survived by: her husband Charles Albert Thurston; her daughters, Kathryn "Kathy" Sams (Mead) and Marjorie "Margie" Thornton (Robert); her grandchildren, Angela "Angie" Endres (Jason), Jennifer "Jenny" Gardner (Jay), Melissa Purrman and Matthew Thornton; her great grandchildren, Haley Endres, Hayden Endres, Samantha Endres, William Endres, Victoria Endres, Ashlynn Gardner, Sabrina Gardner, Lucas Purrman and Noah Blackwell; and her half-sisters, Judy Pfaff and Susan Stielow.
