He was predeceased by: his wife Tammy Griggs; his parents, Richard Griggs Sr. and Katherine Anderson Griggs; and his brother Phillip Griggs. He is survived by: his children, Ann Watts (Hugo) of Lumberton, N. C., Debra Griggs of Lexington, S. C., Danny Griggs, Jr. (Amanda) of Cassatt, Stacey Griggs (James Banks) of Camden and Richard Griggs (Brittany) of Camden; and his siblings, Belva Baker (Roth), Ginny Cook (Joe) and Alvin Griggs. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren.
