It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Colie Blease Hinson Jr. (Lugoff, South Carolina), born in Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on March 25, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mattie Louise Nesbitt Hinson and Colie Blease Hinson, Sr.; his close friend Clennie McCaskill; his daughter Maria Montez Hinson; and his siblings, Betty Dority, Frank Hinson and Jimmy Lee Hinson, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Mary Evelyn Shirey Hinson; his children, Calvin "Ricky" Richard Hinson, Sr. (Tina) of Cassatt, S. C., Angela Jeanette Hinson Stevens (Derek) of Cassatt, SC and Robert Dalton Hinson, Sr. (Beverly Williamson) of Elgin, SC; his siblings, James Edward Hinson, Sr. (Anthea) of Camden, S. C., Billy Hinson (Sharon) of Camden, S. C. and Emma Pressley (Marion) of Lancaster, S. C.; his grandchildren, Maranda Hinson Barden (Ian), Ricky "Bubba" Hinson, Jr. (Emilee), Samantha Hinson, Brooke Stevens (Ricky Gartman), Chelsey Stevens, Zoey Stevens, Ryan Hinson, Eric Stevens and Dalton Hinson, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Beylur Barden and Cal Hinson, III; his niece Sylvia McNeely; and his close friends, Ronnie, Lois Boykin, Buddy, Nancy Thompson and Evelyn.
