He was predeceased by: his spouse Shelby Jean Stockman Miles; his parents, Fred Miles and Lula Viola Goff Miles; and his sister Gladys Ruth Miles. He is survived by: his children, Rajena Miles of Lugoff and Charlie Ray "C. R."; his siblings, Lynette Barwick (Wayne) of Lugoff and Kenneth Miles (Fannie) of Lugoff; his grandchildren, Charlie Ray Miles III (Jackie), Casey Miles (Shana), Chandler Miles (Susanmarie), Christian Ray Smith and Shelby Elaine Smith; his great grandchildren, Charlie Ray Miles IV, Harper Ann Miles and Hudson Thomas Miles; his cousin Judy G. Groves; and his sons, Shine Christian Caregiving (Melissa Hinson) and Leroy (Monica McClinton).
