He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles B. Pate Sr. "Doc" and Loma H. Pate; his wife Libby; and his sisters, Mary Myrtle Jones, Margie Horton, Oletta Dease, Ethel Raley, Bernice Hopkins and Elsya Rahae Knight.
He is survived by: his son C. Britt Pate III (Pam); his grandsons, Andrew Pate (Monica) and William Pate; and his brothers, Keith Joel Pate and Cecil Morris Pate.
