Charles Thomas Hammond Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Thomas Hammond of Lugoff, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Holland Hammond and Sarah Moseley Hammond; his grandson Charles Thomas Hammond III; and his siblings, Robert Holland Hammond and Sarah Rebecca Hammond.
He is survived by: his wife Jennie Marshall Hammond; his sons, Charles Thomas Hammond, Jr. (Lee) of Lugoff, Robert Lee Hammond (Julia) of Camden and Benjamin Holland Hammond (Laura) of Jacksonville, N. C.; and his stepsons, Marshall Delmer Munn (Angela) of Camden and Dwayne Bradley Munn (Christine) of Lugoff. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powers Funeral Home (832 Ridgeway Rd, Lugoff, SC 29078). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at the Beulah Christian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Greenville, S.C.
