He was predeceased by: his parents, Bingham Davis and Earlene Brown Davis; and his sister Helen Thomas. He is survived by: his daughter Gwendolyn; his son-in-law Scott Chewning of Bishopville; and his brothers, Bingham "Bud" Davis Jr. and Francis Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
