She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Knight and Lillian Christine Whitaker Knight; her brothers-in-law, Joe Catledge and Steve Pressley; and her granddaughter Lyndsey Christine Nelson.
She is survived by: her sons, William Larry Nelson of Mt. Pleasant, S. C. and James Michael Nelson (Jamie) of Elgin; her sisters, Shirley Rollins (Larry), Mary Lou Catledge and Lillie Pressley; and her grandchildren, Sara Elizabeth Nelson, Anna Marie Nelson and James Michael Nelson, Jr..
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Powers Funeral Home (832 Ridgeway Rd, Lugoff, SC 29078).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sharing Hope of South Carolina.
