It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Wilson Griffin (Lugoff, South Carolina), born in Kershaw, South Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ward Leroy Griffin; her parents, James Wilson and Janie Collins Wilson; her former husbands, James Albert Shirey and Walter Percy Knight; her children, James Tuffy Shirey, Marion Marty Shirey and Charliene Shirey; and her siblings, James Wilson, Huey Wilson, Cleve Wilson, Leonard Wilson and Virginia Brazell.
She is survived by: her children, Delories Shirey Rollins (Rueben), Barbara Shirey Jordan (William), Judy Shirey, Phyllis Shirey (Monroe), Peggy Shirey Munn, Brenda Shirey Hardin (Richard) and Carlos "Rudy" Shirey; and her siblings, Geneva Paul, Margaret Reyes and Louis Wilson. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
