He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Pate and Lonnie Pate; his great-aunt Mollie Todd; and his cousin Elnita Todd Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Linda Frye Pate of Loris; his children, Sherry Pate Blosser (John) of Nakina, NC and Robin Lane "Robbie" Pate (Bobbie) of Loris; his stepdaughters, Sheila Rabon Harrelson (Stan) of Green Sea and Darlene Rabon Causey (Ronnie) of Loris; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Grey "Libby" Blosser, Robert Peyton Blosser, Alexander Gregory "Alex" Duncan, Naomi Amelia "Na" Jenkins (Joey), Storm Christopher "Stormy" Harrelson, James Ryan Causey (Erin) and Evan Blake Causey; his great grandchildren, James Ryan Causey, Jr., Margaret Ann Causey and Emma Grace Howden; his cousins, Ricky Phillips and Wanda Caines; and his close friend Magnum "Mag".
