It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Paul Russell Higgs (Loris, South Carolina), born in Laurel, Maryland, who passed away on June 2, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Elmer Higgs and Katherine Mae Green Higgs; his former life partner June Higgs; his brother Eddie Higgs; and his son-in-law Robert Sisk.

He is survived by : his wife Annie Mae Blackburn Higgs; his children, Robert Paul Higgs, Tad Russell Higgs, Richard Blackburn (Arland), Robin Sisk and Kellie Gore (Michael); and his sisters, Linda Warner (Johnny), Carol Rager (Ken) and Barbara Honeycutt (Buddy). He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Loris First Baptist Church (3117 Main St, Loris, SC 29569). A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
