He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Elmer Higgs and Katherine Mae Green Higgs; his former wife June Higgs; his brother Eddie Higgs; and his son-in-law Robert Sisk.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Mae Blackburn Higgs; his children, Robert Paul Higgs, Tad Russell Higgs, Richard Blackburn (Arland), Robin Sisk and Kellie Gore (Michael); and his sisters, Linda Warner (Johnny), Carol Rager (Ken) and Barbara Honeycutt (Buddy). He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
