He is survived by: his mother Doris Clemons Johnson; his wife Gayle Johnson; his sons, Daniel Johnson, Jan Austin Johnson, Jr. (Lori) and Andrew Johnson; his grandchildren, Lexi Barnhill (Keith), Chase Johnson, Ashlyn Johnson, Lili Johnson, Ellie Johnson and Esme Johnson; his great grandchildren, Starr Annabelle Barnhill, Jessie Barnhill and Alayna Barnhill; his siblings, John O. Johnson (Freda) and Judy Lynn Johnson; his nephew Ryan Johnson; his nieces, Lindsey Johnson and Caroline Johnson (Matt); and his great-nephew Waylon Vann.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hardwick Funeral Home (4831 Main St, Loris, SC 29569). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at 519 Hulls Island Rd, Loris, SC 29569.
