He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Thomas Branton and Lula Mae Carter Branton; and his siblings, Johnny Branton, Joe Dale Branton, Ruby Branton Merritt, Claudia Branton Crook and Gloria Jean Branton.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Strickland Branton; his children, Bobby Thomas Branton, Jr. (Tara) of Loris, Norma Jean Branton of Loris and Lou Ann Williams of Conway; his grandchildren, Joshua Scott Williams, Kayla Nicole Maloni (R. J.), Hannah Elizabeth Williams, Matthew Thomas Branton and Jordan Maddox Williams; his stepsons, David Carroll of Myrtle Beach and Bobby Carroll (Crystal) of Conway; his stepgrandchildren, James Carroll, Nicolette Carroll, Natalie Carroll, Amber Smith (Scott) and Michael Carroll; and his sisters, Anna Lee Tisdale of Conway, Diane B. Altman of Conway and Mary Adams (J. T.) of Conway.
