Paul L. Ponessi Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul L. Ponessi of Longs, South Carolina, born in Newburgh, New York, who passed away on May 23, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Paul may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Paul touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ponessi and Catherine Leghorn Ponessi; and his brother James Ponessi. He is survived by: his wife Dorina Blake Ponessi; his sons, Paul L. Ponessi, Jr. and Christopher Ponessi (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Andrew Michael, Mia and Julia Ponessi; and his sisters, Judy Steinmetz, Jackie McKinley and Kathy Bauer.
