It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patrick Bynon McGarrell of Longs, South Carolina, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James McGarrell and Maude McGarrell; his former wife Saundra Jolly McGarrell; and his siblings, Jimmy McGarrell, Irvin McGarrell, Adelaide Wright and Jane Wright.
He is survived by: his wife LaMyra Barnhardt McGarrell; his children, Ann Whitley (Bobby), Leigh Broome (Mark), Claudia McGarrell, Scott McGarrell and Merissa Plummer (Randy); his grandchildren, Lauren Whitley, Matthew Whitley (Mary), David Broome (Connie), Eric Broome (Lynzie), Patrick McGarrell, Casey McGarrell, Jacob Plummer, Peyton Plummer and Jessa Plummer; his great grandchildren, Preston Whitley, Stetson Whitley, Ada Kate Whitley, Elowen Whitley and Benjamin Broome; his sister Susan Arnold (George); and his friend Pat.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Wilkinson Funeral Home (100 Branchview Dr NE, Concord, NC 28025). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
