It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wydette Ackerman in Lodge, South Carolina, born in Cottageville, South Carolina, who passed away on November 19, 2020, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howell Lucas Martin and Gladys Marjorie Strickland Martin; her daughter Stephanie Lynn Ackerman; her grandson Stephen Ackerman; and her siblings, Andrew B. Martin and Myrna Mixson.
She is survived by: her husband Tommy J. Ackerman; her children, Angela Baker of Walterboro, Tommy J. Ackerman Jr. (Lorna) of Walterboro, Harvey Lucas "Luke" Ackerman (Sheila) of Round and Nicholas L. Ackerman (Crystal) of Ehrhardt; her siblings, Johnny Martin of Walterboro, Howell Martin of Virginia, Melissa Ann Bridge of Walterboro and Beth Shaw of Summerville; and her grandchildren, Tyler, Lindsay, Andrew, Lucas, Justin, Antonio, Katelynn, Riley and Bailey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the North Walterboro Christian Academy, 2177 Jefferies Boulevard, Walterboro, SC 29488.
