She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher "Sonny" Padgett and Zelma McMillan Padgett; and her sister Janice P. Sauls. She is survived by: her husband William H. "Buddy" Gooding of Lodge; her children, Trudy Godley (David) of Islandton and Christopher Gooding (Tania) of Lodge; her sister Phyllis P. Gibson of Islandton; her grandchildren, J. W. Godley, Andrew Godley, Hunter Gooding, Kassidy Gooding and Brad Godley (Emma); and her great grandchild Ansley Godley.
