It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James William Garvin Jr. (Lodge, South Carolina), born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on December 18, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Garvin, Sr. and Jennie Lucile Hilton Garvin; his children, Cynthia Lynn Garvin, Rodney Wayne Garvin and Anne Lucile Garvin; and his sister Dora Elizabeth Garvin Lyons (Gussie).
He is survived by: his wife Joan Morrissey Garvin; his children, Randy Garvin (Cindy) of Goose Creek, James W. Garvin, III (Sonja) of Hendersonville and Donna Garvin McMillan (Johnny) of Lodge; his siblings, Thomas W. "Tommy" Garvin (Bea) of Yemassee, Barbara Jean Hiott of Walterboro and Dorothy Joan Sanders (Joe) of Charleston; and his grandchildren, Shelly Johnson, Erica Dunn, Mistie Bishop and James William "J. W.". He is also survived by fourteen great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
