She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry Edward Chamblin; her parents, George W. Connelly and Lucille Altman Connelly; and her brother Robert Connelly. She is survived by: her sons, James Chamblin (Annette) of Lodge and Chris Chamblin (MaryWynn) of Ruffin; her sister Diane Godley (Bo) of Islandton; and her grandchildren, Brian Chamblin, Kimberly Chamblin (Jess), Gini Girardeau Lucas, Alyssa Girardeau, Margaret Girardeau and John Girardeau (Ansley). She is also survived by five great grandchildren as well as a number nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in her memory to the following: Ashton Baptist Church, 5156 Willow Swamp Road, Lodge, South Carolina 29082; or to Friends of Colleton County Animal Shelter, 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488.
