He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ann Dabbs Trakus; his parents, Jim Trakus and Vivian Smith Trakus; his daughters, Tiffany Ann Trakus of Columbia and Brook Schelble (Joe) of Columbia; his siblings, Tony Trakus (Betsy) and Janis Trakus Belue (Bill) of Union; and his grandchildren, Hayden, Noah and Griffin Schelble.
