It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard L. Young III of Little River, South Carolina, who passed away on March 15, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Richard L. Young IV, Ashley Chiluck (David) and Alexandra (Alex); his grandchildren, Laurel A. Young and Sid J. Budko; his sisters, Tina Y. Wilson, Jean Y. Holt (Nate) and Ann Y. Schramm; his close friend Daisy; and his father Managing Editor. He was also cherished by extended family and friends.

“It was an honor to know Rick. He was always kind and welcoming. The Surf Club was most often where I would see Rick; playing golf or eating lunch at the grill. He lived life happy. It was after Rick's urging that we got our only puppy. "Every kid need a dog, it makes them happy". Don't think that would've happen without his urging. Hannah, Clark, Stokes and myself are very sad for your pain and loss . Take solace in the many lives that were joyfully touched by Rick! Prayers - Sona McIntyre”
