She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Gilhooly and Anne Gilhooly; and her husband Arthur Merrick. She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Furlong (Patrick) and Patricia Turbitt (Patrick); her grandchildren, Emily Furlong and Matthew Turbitt; her sister-in-law Joy Merrick Vogel; her niece Brenda Rizea (Alex, family: Christina Merrick Wright, Cathleen Merrick); and her nephew James Merrick (Denise).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Lee Funeral Home (11840 SC-90, Little River, SC 29566). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church (1100 8th Ave N, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to AHRC 189 Wheatly Rd. Brookville, NY 11545, in memory of Patricia Merrick and in honor of her granddaughter Emily Furlong.
