With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Madeline Messier of Little River, South Carolina, born in Troy, New York, who passed away on January 23, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy J. Geer and Madeline L. Geer (Hoffman); her husband Joseph J. Messier; and her sister Katherine F. Stanley. She is survived by: her daughters, Marlene Agostino (John), Lynda Nowik (Edward) and Annette Vinik (Gene); and her grandchildren, James Agostino (Sarah), Mark Agostino (Stacie), Andrea Busch (Michael), Jamie Rugg (Calvin III), Jessica Rosher (Kyle), Stephanie Giroux (John) and Adam Vinik (Katie). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association (Lung.org) or the Scleroderma Research Foundation (Srfcure.org) in memory of Joan M. Messier.
