He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Smith and Bertha Benesch Smith; and his son Jeffrey Smith. He is survived by: his wife Sonia Navitski Smith; his children, Gregory, Christopher Smith and Denise Leubecker; and his sister JoAnne Morton. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
