Genelia H. Gainey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Genelia H. Gainey (Little River, South Carolina), who passed away on May 4, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest L. Huffman and Ruby Rimmer Huffman; her spouse Heyward Gainey; and her siblings, Luther Huffman and Margaret H. Newsome.

She is survived by: her sons, H. Johnny Gainey, Jr. (Terri) and Ronnie D. Gainey (Donna); her grandchildren, Matthew Gainey, McKenzie Nance (CJ), Christy Dowless, Nicholas Dowless, Jonathon Gainey and Nick Gainey; her great grandchildren, Gavin Gainey and Olivia Nance; and her siblings, Ernest B. "Buddy" Huffman, Ken Huffman and Grace H. Fletcher.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Cat Tails, 6622 Beach Dr SW, Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.
