It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest R. Basinger (Little River, South Carolina), born in Rockwell, North Carolina, who passed away on August 3, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ernest Basinger and Ether Shuping Basinger; and his brother Clarence Alexander Basinger. He is survived by: his wife Cherryanna Shive Basinger; his daughters, Melina Basinger Ethredge and Anissa Basinger LaPorte; his sons-in-law, Brian Ethredge and Dustin LaPorte; his grandchildren, Daniel Ethredge, Emma Ethredge and Anna LaPorte; and his friend Ernest.
